So What's Halliburton Been Up To Lately?

Consulting on a new class of British aircraft carriers.

The original design competition for the CVF was won by Thales Group UK in January 2003, but Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon announced that BAE Systems would operate as prime contractor. These two companies formed the "Aircraft Carrier Alliance" (ACA), along with the UK Ministry of Defence. Formal agreement of the alliancing principles took until Spring 2004, and in February 2005 Halliburton subsidiary KBR UK Ltd was selected as the "physical integrator" to manage the overall project.

Note to my leftwing readers: Insert the appropriate "Blair's reward for being Bush's lapdog" reference here:

The new class of carrier will be about halfway between the Nimitz class and the DeGaulle class. In other words, for problems slightly bigger than France can handle, and slightly smaller than when you need to call America in.

Halliburton's Good Works

I've decided that besides punching up the CENTCOM headlines to help bolster the war effort, I'm also going to be the blogosphere's Official Halliburton Apologist ®.

Here's an example of Halliburton's recent good works.

Halliburton: In any language, it spells "love".
